The bullying, stealing, cussing, hitting, fighting is bad and apparently teachers turn a blind eye. Teacher on students bad behavior should be addressed too. My kids have heard the teacher mock me the mother for coming from a different country. Because I’ve complained to the school they choose to take it out on my children. It’s causing the children anxiety and they fear going to school.

They should be ashamed by their terrible science curriculum. They intentionally avoid topics that some find politically charged, they scientifically they have no controversy. How can you talk about natural science and avoid evolution?? How can you teach a whole section on global ecology and skip climate change? Furthermore, most classes have very little instruction, teachers instead rely on computers to teach the kids. I never thought I'd see the day when youtube was one of my children's teachers, yet here we are. Schools like this are why we are living in an idiocracy. Also, the principal gives no effort to ensure student safety and is intellectually deficiencient given his role. I would very much prefer a more intellectual person in charge of educating my children.

YMCA head start at Rodeo was an exceptional school for both of my children. They showed genuine care and love for all the kids, focusing on their development and well-being. My daughter attended from age 3 until kindergarten, and with the help of specialists, they were able to provide her with the support she needed for her ADHD and separation anxiety. She had a smooth transition with their assistance. My son started at just 1 year old, and through the collaborative efforts of the team, they identified his developmental regression and eventually diagnosed him with autism at 1 year and 10 months. The school provided him with all the necessary services both at home and in the school setting. I highly recommend Rodeo YMCA head start as a truly inclusive school in the Bay Area. It was a great experience for my children and I believe it would benefit any family.

PHCSE is a fantastic school. The curriculum is outstanding, focusing on Entrepreneurship, STEM, as well as the Core Curriculum. The administrators, teachers, and staff are wonderful and very caring. They are student-centered and use a holistic approach to education. PHCSE's mission and values align perfectly with my personal values for education.

Higgins’s was a savior for my son. He was a freshman when the pandemic hit and like so many kids but to an extreme he couldn’t handle the virtual courses at Fremd as his attention couldn’t be kept. He was a very good student but the pandemic largely caused a severe depression and he stopped going to school. Sophomore year he started at Higgins and I wasn’t sure due to his mental state he would go but he did. The school was very willing to work on some special accommodations for him that made a world of difference to him and allowed a 360 degree turn around to the kid I knew. He received great help and attention from all the teachers. These teachers don’t have an easy job as they are working with kids that don’t do well in the normal academic classrooms at the larger High Schools. There are fights, name calling, and behaviors that would get students kicked out of main stream schools but their objective is to reduce and hopefully change behaviors and keep kids in school as alternatives are not going to bode well for the student and their future. EMy son stayed out of that drama and focused on academics and getting the mental health help he needed. He flourished and started attending Fremd part time in the second semester as well as Junior year. He choose to stay at Higgins his Senior year as it was a more comfortable environment for him. The support there has been outstanding and they have seasoned teachers. I believe the teachers love their jobs or they would transfer to other positions in the district. The main stream HS can be very intimidating and stressful for students that don’t fit the “typical” HS student mold. If you have a child who is struggling in the mainstream environment, either academically or just doesn’t feel comfortable fitting in, I would recommend giving Higgins a try.

I’m happy that my son likes his school and he is doing so much better and he feels safe. At first I was a little concern with the percentage of African American student bc there are only 6 or 7 percent students that are black but it didn’t make any difference. He haven’t gotten any problems at all and the teachers are wonderful

In my expedience, my daughter attended kindergarten and grade one. Kindergarten was good and she felt welcomed as part of the group. The teacher was great in kindergarten, however, in grade one my child was mostly placed in the blue table ( trouble maker table) cause she couldn’t express herself and she is the most shy and quiet child you’ll meet, but I felt it really took a toll on her confidence when the teacher constantly sat her there cause she couldn’t take the time to explain to my daughter what she was supposed to be doing or not. We had many days where my daughter just simply did not want to go to school. To keep the story short , I had emailed the school and asked for either support or shall we change her school and the immediate answer was change her schools. Which obviously gave me more assurance of how bad my child self esteem was being brought down. Anyways I’m happy she’s now in a better school and she’s progressing amazingly. With a teacher that really cares about each child in the class. What a difference it makes when you have a teacher that really cares. My only point at Westgate is they should have better communication over all amongst their principal and also more consistency amongst their teachers as I’m sure most teachers there are great, it’s unfortunate that our grade on experience was just aweful and instead of bringing up my kids confidence it took away from her self esteem.

As a current junior, who has attended CCDS for 5 years, I can most certainly say that the education is outstanding. The course load greatly ensures that I will have a successful time in college. The wide variety of classes offered is a great opportunity for students to find their passion in whatever subject they so choose.

Being 100% honest, I wanted my son to be in Bolton due to more equity, less discrimination and bullying (precisely due to more equity and mix of culture) and same academic scores… buuuut I ended being force to enroll him in Brandon, so I trusted God Plans and its being genuinely a life change in the best sense! My son has grow and learned so much in 2 years. The program and system in general is amazing for their academic success and happiness, yes! My son loves going to school. They make it so fun with all the activities and fun learning techniques. There is definitely discrimination and bullying (bnot super common) and we have had to teach our son ( soon as kindergarten :( but there was no other way) to speak out defend himself and defend others vulnerable by his own voice and hands if necessary after we tried reporting by email like 3 times make little meetings with teachers and directive without success. When our son stop crying and just defend himself or other vulnerable child they start to isolate my son or the little bully’s from him and everything is going wonderful now. Discrimination and segregation, oh yes. more than any different population than white would like. But I’ve seen that is all about the teachers (what I read in this reviews before enrolled him is completely true) there are 10/10 teachers that literally will change your sons life and make them love school and everything in life!! and other 3/10 (in ethic and professionalism) in a 50/50. so is a random lottery what experience your kid will have (emotionally regarding to school) next year.. My son was isolated outside the class room by his teacher, in the hall alone all day for weeks, where he just stay sitting all day and cry quiet pr moments, for being new, other race, ethnicity different than white, and coming in the middle of the year. I understand is not easy, but her lack of sensitivity ethic and humanity is not professional when working with small kids. Another teacher saw him in the Hall everyday and advocate for him, and call me to let me know what my son was living. So, is all about the teachers, and they are incredibly good and awful ones in Morris Brandon. It worth it? 100% the pros in Morris Brandon are huge! For the Cons, God gives us the people strength and wisdom to live anything if he wants us to go trough, and now our son is fully adapt and growing incredibly fast. Just be wise and extra protective if your child is outside the standard race and socio economic

Good school, I feel like my kids are safe there. The teachers care and the kids are pretty nice. I don’t ever hear my kids complain of bullying.
